A Cozy Retreat with Exceptional Service
The stay exceeded my expectations! Spacious double room with peaceful countryside views made for a relaxing escape. Dinner was a highlight, especially the cider pork pie—divine! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Pro tip, Confirm your arrival time as the bar closes early.

Had a great time with friends! We visited the Adnams Brewery and explored Southwold while staying here. The accommodation was really spacious with a comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious, and there’s plenty of parking available. Perfect spot for a weekend getaway with lots to see nearby.
One downside was that the location might be tricky for those without a car as it’s not in a town.

Oh, the tartines were delightful! The homemade pizzas were a perfect treat after a day of exploring, and I couldn’t get enough of that breakfast with high-quality bacon! Free parking was a bonus too, making it a breeze to visit Southwold.
The bed felt a touch small for my liking, and navigating to the venue could be a bit tricky—easily missed if you’re not sharp-eyed! Still, we found it charming and worth the stay.

Spacious family room. Staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast included high-quality bacon and fresh fruits. Everything was spotlessly clean. Dogs are welcome too. 🐶

While the location has its merits, not providing clear communication about check-in times can lead to stressful arrivals. arriving after 10 p.m. seems tricky. The decor in the bathrooms could definitely use some refreshing, with minor maintenance issues like flaking paint and flooring cleanliness detracting from the overall experience. The dining area could improve, as a few flies buzzed around, hinting at a need for better upkeep. Too, the breakfast timing at 8 a.m. might not suit everyone, especially those needing an early start.

we really liked the spacious room, it was super comfy for us. the beds were super nice and we had everything we could’ve needed. also, our dog was welcome in the restaurant during breakfast which was a big plus. the cooked breakfast was ah-mazing, one of the best we’ve had away.
but the bathroom could’ve been cleaner and we noticed a few flies buzzing around in the pub area. food quality was kinda average for the prices.

The atmosphere in the evenings was delightful, enhanced by the friendly locals and attentive staff. The room was nicely decorated but suffered from noise issues due to its proximity to the road, making a peaceful night's sleep difficult. Privacy was compromised by large windows lacking adequate coverings, and the broken gate outside added to the disturbances. While breakfast was enjoyable, it was served on cold plates.

Spacious Room and Delicious Breakfast
I had a lovely one-night stay with my partner, where we really enjoyed the spacious room with comfortable beds. The highlight was the breakfast, which was one of the best we've had while traveling – perfectly cooked and generous portions. The staff were kind and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. If I had to mention an area for improvement, the parking area could be better marked for ease of access.

During my recent business stay at the Plough, I found the room to be exceptionally spacious and warm, making for a comfortable working environment. The beverages and biscuits provided were plentiful, and the en suite was modern and well maintained. The pub offered a welcoming atmosphere, and I enjoyed a well-prepared evening meal, followed by a hearty breakfast that included a variety of fresh fruit options. The staff were attentive and ensured my needs were met efficiently.
No notable complaints.

Inconsistent attention to cleaning standards!!! A refresh of tired room decor would greatly enhance aesthetics!!! Road noise can be bothersome for light sleepers!!!

Spacious family room available.
Our experience was quite frustrating due to poor cleanliness. The bathroom was not satisfactory, needing a thorough cleaning, which made it uncomfortable for our family. we noticed several flies buzzing around in the pub area, which added to our disappointment with the dining experience, as the food quality did not meet expectations either.
